On the twenty-first of the seventh month, the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet saying, (NASB ©1995)

Haggai 1:1 In the second year of Darius the king, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the LORD came by the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying, (NASB ©1995)


In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,

1 He encourages the people to the work, by promise of greater glory to the second temple than was in the first.
10 In the type of holy things and unclean he shews their sins hindered the work.
20 God's promise to Zerubbabel.
