Meyer at the passage, Weiss edition)), Luke 22:51.

3. To give up, let go, leave: τάς ἀγκύρας ... εἴων εἰς τήν θάλασσαν, they let down into the sea (i. e., abandoned; cf. B. D. American edition, p. 3009{a} bottom), Acts 27:40. (Compare: προσεάω.)
